"Jude's Law" - Lori Foster

Publisher's Description:

"There's only so much frustration a guy can handle before he gets a little nutty. For Jude Jamison, his frustration has a name - May Price. She's everything the former Hollywood bad boy actor came to Stillbrook, Ohio, hoping to find: open, honest, lovable, and full of those luscious curves you don't find on stick-figure starlets - curves May doesn't seem to appreciate in herself. Every time Jude tries to get close to the skittish business woman, to take her in his arms, she thinks he's joking. Joking? Joking does not involve lots of cold-shower therapy. It's time for new tactics. If May can't respond to his sly compliments and sexy innuendos, he'll just have to spell it out for her. Jude Jamison is going to lay down the law for May Price. And, after that, she'll have no delusions about just how much he wants her..."

Personal Review:

I liked the entire book.  I especially liked May's character - a woman burdened with a family that takes no responsibility for themselves, and some "junk in the trunk", that comes with self-esteem issues.  I can't name a woman without that problem!  The book itself flowed really well, and I enjoyed the way that Jude and May dealt with May's family, friend Ashley, and the criminal in the story.  There were some pretty hot sex scenes, which are typical of a Lori Foster book.  I liked those too - they weren't raunchy, gratuitous sex scenes - they made sense for the story, and some scenes were quite romantic.  I liked watching them fall in love, and getting some background leading up to Ashley's story in "Murphy's Law".

Personal Overall Rating:
**** 4 Stars
Hot Sexiness (Some graphic sex scenes)

Personal Review:

I found this book very enjoyable!  I thought it had a good story line, and developed characters really well for future books in the series.  Some reviewers on bn.com and amazon.com have said that the story is unbelievable.  Well, yeah, it's fiction.  Fiction is whatever you want it to be.  This book had some intrigue, a lot of romance, a little sex (nothing too graphic!), and a whole lot of stubborn in Maura, the lead female, character.  I enjoyed reading the love story between Ash and Maura, and I'm very excited to read Jack's story next!

Overall Personal Rating:
**** 4 Stars
Medium Sexiness (nothing too graphic)

Major Romance Reader Begins!!

Hello all!

I will be posting on here as I finish books, almost exclusively romance novels. I particularly like Regency novels, but I typically read everything except Vampire and sci-fi/futuristic romances (not really my thing!). I will be reviewing the books, including the publisher synopsis from Barnes & Noble or Amazon, with links to purchase.

A little about me - since I first could pick up a book, I've been a voracious reader. My first book series I remember reading was my mom's entire Nancy Drew mystery series from the 1960's (I read them in the early 90's) the summer between 7th and 8th grade. After that, I haunted the library, reading Sweet Valley High, the Babysitter's Club - all of them! I was a relatively normal teen, just a big reader. I read a lot of my mom's books - mostly Nora Roberts, and a few of the "bodice rippers" of the 80's. I got quite the sexual education from those! I read tons of young adult romance, most several times.

As I began my 20's, I started branching off into Regency romance, and that's where I really started a deep love for those novels. Now, I still love contemporary romance, but there's just something about the Regency period that I love. Eloisa James, Julia Quinn, Nicole Jordan, Celeste Bradley, just to name a very few of authors that I love from that genre.

The contemporary novels that I can't get enough of are Lori Foster, still Nora Roberts, and I just LOVE Harlequin Blaze series. They are so sexy, and always have a happy ending (pun intended on that one!).

I am starting Nicole Jordan's new series now - the first book is titled "Princess Charming". I'll get a review in as soon as I'm done! I just finished Lori Foster's SBC series, which I loved all but one book of the series - those I'll get reviews in for soon as well!

Thanks, and Happy Reading!!!
